Dark, deep, ruby-red colour. The nose is elegant in proportion, but well packed with deep and solid aromas of ripe blackberry fruit, black plum and a layering of dark herb and earthy notes, and a background of cedar wood, black pepper and liquorice.
Medium-full bodied, Syrah that is rich and harmoniously presented with a palate that is complex and concentrated with savoury fruits and is layered with rich flavours of ripe blackberries and plums entwined with fragrant herbs, earth, black pepper and liquorice.
The mouth feel is smooth flowing with fine tannin providing structure. The acidity is soft and integrated and the wine carries seamlessly to an elegant finish.

The highly refined, youthful 2019 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown and hand-harvested at Pakipaki, south-west of Hastings and Havelock North. Deep ruby, it has a floral, spicy bouquet. Very elegant and supple, it has strong, vibrant, plummy, spicy flavours, a hint of tamarillo, fresh acidity, savoury notes adding complexity and a long, very harmonious finish.

A delicate Syrah with integrated, powdery tannins, sweet fruit, floral and savoury details. Attractive and lifting.
